Aulalivre was founded in 2012 on the rise of YouTube as a platform for content creation and distribution, to be an affordable solution for online education high school education. With the initial proposal to offer 100% free content and be maintained by sponsorship and publicity, the company migrated in 2014 to a Freemium model on its own platform effectively becoming a Distance Learning company.
Juliana Marchioretto, CEO and co-founder, graduated in Public Relations from UFRGS and worked for the RBS group’s vehicle marketing department for low-income follow-up. At RBS Juliana had the opportunity to learn and understand low income population challenges and realities which effectively translated in a very efficient and personal communication with Aula Livre’s customers. Juliana has always been involved with entrepreneurship helping developing the entrepreneurial community of Rio Grande do Sul state.
Eduardo Lima, COO and co-founder, graduated in Marketing from ESPM/SP. Early on his career Eduardo worked for several marketing agencies, but he always felt that it would be termporary. Having graduated in high school from a national public school Eduardo always felt the need to help improving the countries education. From this realization he and Juliana decided to found Aulalivre. In 2016 Eduardo had the opportunity to tell his story at TEDxUFRGS.
