Kria (former Broota) was founded in 2014 as the first equity crowdfunding platform in Brazil. Since then Kria helped raising over U$10mi for 80 startups with 3.000 investors. In 2018 the company carved out a SaaS operation called Basement, that helps funds, angel groups and companies to fundraise and manage cap-table electronically. Kria is the largest Equity Crowdfunding platform active in Brazil.
Frederico graduated from FGV-EASP in 2002. In his last year at school, he co-founded a non-profit and worked as a CEO for 5yrs, before joining a benefit corporation private-equity investee (sold to Unilever) and working there for another 4 yrs – where he ultimately had the original idea for Kria.
After his MBA at Fuqua-Duke, where he had the opportunity to see firsthand the birth of Jobs Act, Frederico met his co-founder Daniel, a top of class student from Poli-USP working then at one of Rocket-Internet portfolio companies.
